During the spring/summer of 2006 I obtained yet another seasonal Wildlife Resource Assistant position with the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection (CT DEP), being my third season with the state agency. My duties primarily consisted of small mammal trapping throughout the state of Connecticut to sample common species and locate rare species, along with 2 other members of the small mammal research team. Flying squirrel trapping, raptor surveys and nest search, furbearer necropsy, and bat related field work tasks were among other duties.
