| Q: Where did you get the nickname “Buffalo Annie?”
A: The Cheyenne River Sioux Reservation in South Dakota is where I was nicknamed “Buffalo Annie,” a creative combination of Annie Oakley’s shooting abilities and my interest in buffalo (not to be confused as an Indian name), while assisting with numerous tribal buffalo roundups on the reservation. Most folks simply refer to me as Lisa or Annie. |
